The
Company
Since 2011, La Palabra Teatro researches and produces national and international contemporary playwrigth's work (Claire Dowie, Dennis Kelly, David Mamet, Neil Laboute), putting under the light social and political issues. Our aim is not to give any answer neither solution but to make the audience to question themselves about those issues and the reality we’re all surrounded by.
Our first production «Why is John Lennon Wearing a Skirt?» is a smash hit since its premiere, and engages the performing arts professional market, getting gigs for adult and youth audiences every year since 2011 all over Andalucía and Madrid, and also taking part on LGTBIQ festivals and gendre equality perspective cutural activities.
It was 2009 when Jamie-Glyn Bale and Inma González worked together for the first time in Granada producing “The Sape of Things”, Neil Laboute’s play. In 2011 they found La Palabra, collaborating in several times with LOST Theatre Company (London) till 2013. In Spain they work together with the EPFCA (Escuela Pública de Formación Cultural de Andalucía) and other local theatre companies. They also foster the local cultural development taking part on El Apeadero management, the main independent venue and arts collective in the town.
In 2015 Inma assumes the company management on her own, balancing it with other artistic projects as actor and singer.
In 2019 she’s chosen as an artist participant on the first Centre Stage European Project edition and takes part on Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022. She’s based in Madrid since 2020.
